Cutigliano

by the Province of Modena to the North, includes Cutigliano, Melo, Pian degli Ontani, Pianosinatico, Pian di Novello and Rivoreta, all immersed in a charming mountain environment surrounded by the Libro Aperto mountain, the Spigolino mountain, the Cimone mountain  and the valleys of the streams Lima and Sestaione.

The village, whose palaces and monuments are evidence of its splendid and aristocratic likeness given to it because of historical events, is the second  most important winter resort in Tuscany for winter sports and it is also a prestigious place where to spend summer holidays. It has recently become an important   stop in the Eco-museo (Eco-museum) of the Pistoia mountains.

The town layout,  which is still mainly medieval, is suitable to visit the town ion foot and to discover the sounds of the small village that once was there.

Doganaccia: It is possible to reach Doganaccia by a very modern cableway from Cutigliano. Doganaccia is a picturesque  winter destination for all those who like skiing, who may also reach the Apennine crest of the Croce Arcana. It is also a summertime resort for those who like trekking.
